@farmerman,

A "theory" in science is a well tested and evidenced explanation for a system.
False. Relativity was called "theory" long before the confirming measurements could be performed

Quote:
Within a theory ALL the data supports the explanation and NO EVIDENCE disputes it.
False, Farm. Violates the general principle that nothing is entirely anything while everything is partly something else

Theres where you are wide open. You have neither evidence
Only through satisfaction of the Intuition

nor anything but a "neat way of looking at stuff".
Why, thank you Man

Quote:
That aint a theory sir, maybe you should choose another term.
Okay, you're free to call it anything else you like

PS your units of c were in meters per second miles are mi,….. and besides, standard speed of light is in cgs….
GOOD LORD, how could I have made such terrible mistakes

@farmerman,
Einstein had a mathematical proof, a set of universal observations and evidence AND he had several ways of proving his THEORY.

You have none of that.

It is you whove left yourself open by not knowing that a theory, in science IS NOT conjecture. youll see several definitions for theoryin a dictionary and only one is applicable to science.

Theory of Natural Selection
Theory of Plate Tectonics and Continental Drift
Atomic Theory
etc etc

That violates the general principle that nothing is…..

I've read that it wasn't thought as totally proven til the contraction, slowing of clocks, increase in mass, etc had been verified

I don't feel the need for it inasmuch as it doesn't dispute Einstein at all, it's just another way of looking at things. That's why I call it relative relativity

The "rules" of the gme have been established for all to see, we are not free to decide which rules of scientific inquiry we obey.

Ignorance doesnt demonstrate that you are "good or bad,just ill informed. Youre the one who asked for advice about publication. Wait till some editor, 1/3 your age tears you a new one, all in the name of science.

I haven't violated any of the rules, merely, as I said, provided a different way of looking at relativity. I'll soon start another thread demonstrating some of its troubling aspects

Alas, again, alack. I apologize profusely for so wasting your valuable time

Yes, how did we get off onto this track

Just can't wait

Youve insisted that you have a "theory", I insist that, since you dont seem to understand the meaning of the word, you do not

Good Luck with your journey.You are correct, it aint worth my time valuable or not.
