China is also a major market for US goods. Several US industries, for example electronic equipment, depend on the huge Chinese market.
Any major disruption with US-Chinese trade would result in layoffs of American workers as well as sharply rising prices in goods Americans buy.
To do anything to end trading with China would be ******* nuts.
