well Ive done the opposite and I was truly fooled. That young guy who was an IT prof looked like a neat bum. and the bioethics guy I picked as a bum. The first guy I thought was a perfesser cause I see these guys out on research vessels all the time and they only wash up when the ship dox

8/10 I tried to check teeth and general state of cleanliness. Scruffiness in and of itself is not an infallible yardstick. Wonder if photos of hands would yield same results.

I got five. I overestimated how many hoboes were profs, too. (I think I've met one of them! He certainly looks familiar anyway.)

Sent it on to my prof husband who is currently clean-shaven but who has looked decidedly hoboesque in the past.

I've picked mushrooms and eaten them...only the white ones that grow on the trunks of (mostly dead) trees. I've been an idiot to do so, because I am not sure about them. But so far...so good.

Wish I had your knowledge and confidence. Little K and Dagmar use to do lots of mushroom hunting.
