Question: How the state can help the down trodden masses of the society as per the above mentioned paragraph?
Are you assuming that all of the "down trodden masses" (sic) are deserving of help? Why would that be? Possibly there are downtrodden masses that do deserve some help, but all? Is the state supposed to be a surrogate Santa Claus?
I would want the state to help those that made an effort to speak with humility and deference, considering they are downtrodden; otherwise, I would think the downtrodden suffer from an attitude of entitlement. In my opinion, only the deserving deserve.
