My cat is an indoor cat, who I take outside on a harness so she can eat grass.
She coughs a lot, as if she has a hairball... Sometimes when she eats grass it helps, but lately, she's started throwing up the grass. I feed her hairball control food, and I thought that would take care of the problem.
Any suggestions? I'll take her to the vet, but its Sunday and I thought I might learn something here today.
Get catgrass at your local pet store. That way you're pretty sure you are not feeding your kitty pesticides or other chems.
That's an important consideration! Thank you. I'm also going to check out the hairball medication.
I use a weird tarry looking thing in a tube - supposed to grase the hairball so it pops out the back end, and dissolve it a bit.
Lots of grass and chucking could certainly be furball.
We use that malt stuff in a tube, too, Deb. And the cats like it even though it's good for them...
And we also offer them cat grass that we grow ourselves from one of those kits you get at the pet store.
I bought the hairball medicine, and my cat ate it right up! I didn't have to rub it on her paw or anything. I hope this works
