How many three digit telephone number area codes can there be if the first digit is three or four and the other digits are less than four?

@brooketaylor1357,
Well, let's think about that.

The first digit has 2 possibilities, right? (3 or 4)
The second digit has four possibilities, right (0,1,2,3)
The third digit has the same possibilities as the second one, right?

Now, how would you put these figures together in order to, well, figure it out?

@jespah,
negative numbers are also less than 4. There's an infinite number of possibilities

Reality (2)*(4)*(4)=32

@raprap,
Well, I think, with an area code, the idea for it to have to be a positive integer should be a given.

PS Thanks for answering so many of the math questions.
