the pursuit of skin
happiness
to say
"I've done this"
or
"I've done that"
walk a thousand miles
and not take a shower
can't lose that stench
it's evidence

sharp haircuts
a chiseled face
on a stage
fifty thousand eyes
and lights
shining
screaming
because of my name
and melting
from the breath
of the words I say

being a God is easy
it's ridiculous
yet people strive
and sweat
the beads of madness
climbing mountains
facing death
just so sheep can ambush them
for a picture
or autograph

The meaning of life
apparently
is to lose the need
for your mirror
