I went to see her with the GF on Sunday. She reminds me of Kate Bush. Is my masculinity in danger? Shocked

But, but, but...she's hot for an over the hill chick (she's 43, I think)! And her voice is wonderful. It was her rendition of Nessun Dorma that did it. Very Happy

okok, I just read your profile, bob, and 43 isn't over the hill! My wife's 42, and I'm turning 37 this month...

Nessum Dorma is a tenor part usually, isn't it? I'm no opera fan, but I get goosebumps hearing Pavarotti sing it on the original "Three Tenors"cd.

Usually. It lends itself well to a soprano, though.

I love the way she sings Nessun Dorma, too, Hobitbob. The first and only time I've heard a woman sing it. Your masculinity is not at all in danger, but your eyesight may be. Kate Bush????

I love nessum dorma, kate bush - not a huge of Sarah, but I could convinced otherwise, I guess if I paid attention.

Sarah Brightman is brilliant doing Andrew LLoyd Webber, after all he wrote for her. His Pie Jesu gives me chills. Otherwise, you can keep her IMO. The flying and other theatrics are a bit much, especially for a woman of "a certain age."

But she's a wonderfully well preserved "certain age." Wink

I know the feeling. Tabia and I were at dinner the night of the Concert, and a comment was made about how nice it was of me to be taking my daughter out! Shocked GROWWL!!!! Yes, there is grey in the hair and beard....but I'm still a kid, darn it! Of course, she is 23 and looks about sixteen, so I can sort of understand, but still!

I like one of her songs, "building a mystery." The rest seem like adverts for narcolepsy!
