Erick Erickson, conservative commentator wrote a blog post called "coming together" in the wake of the latest tragedy.

Quote:
Our nation once shared a God who we all prayed to. Increasingly, the loudest voices in the nation are hostile to that God and those who worship him. The conversation at times of evil is immediately drown out by political opportunists seeking to drive their agenda. The news channels meditate on the nature of gun violence and gun restrictions or what other restrictions or laws can ever be used.

...

In that small window, instead of discussing the politics or the laws, we should discuss the evil and the good and the God from whom we have, as a nation. drifted so far.

Is God anything more to these people than a way to take a cheap slap at your political opponents?

Yes, without doubt... WTF?
You seriously offhand abandon people to that, when to bring that up in the first place requires heart?
You would require to place in the failings in order to sway me... Not just a slap back. To say that their views on gun crime etc is the reason that they feel that way is wrong, that's what they truly see and change will not come by denying that.

There are reasons for it, you may never see those reasons, but they are present. And they are a real threat to some.

So Erick scolds the "politicals" for driving their agenda during times of evil, while taking the opportunity to drive his own religious agenda...

@rosborne979,
It's kind of funny in a way. Pathetic, but funny.
