Apparently, they're underway as I type. We've entered into the meteor field, but the peek remains to be seen on the 14th of December - a saturday!

Why, oh why, are these things always happening when it's too frickin' cold to stand outside for more than a few minutes?

argh...there was something about the date that was rattling around in my brain but, I couldnt figure out what it was...
NOW I KNOW

whew..thanks k Smile

Jespah, actually its not so bad if you have visibility close to home, or if you can get those layers on and you actually enjoy it...you tend to forget how cold it is for a little bit.

Ah, come on, Jespah, go out and watch 'em. I would if I could, but here in Western Washington, we've got miles of clouds overhead and a wind and rain storm on the way. Not very good meteor watching weather. Sad

harrumph! I have waited up and gone out to see that thing twice - and it never happened.

There was always some excuse in the papers the next day - the meteors had their period - the meteors were ill - the meteors were on strike - I am not bothering with the smegging meteors any more!!!!

so sorry dlowan...when you do get to see them, it a nice experience...if not..could be very very bad.
They should be out tonight, or should I say tomorrow here at like 2am....well, it is Saturday night, so I suppose theres that possibility but...will I see them clearly is certainly the next question.
