All beings by nature are God,
as ice by nature is water;
apart from water there is no ice,
apart from beings no God.
How sad that people ignore the near
and search for truth afar,
like someone in the midst of water
crying out in thirst,
like a child of a wealthy home
wandering among the poor.
Lost on dark paths of ignorance
we wander through the six worlds,
from dark path to dark path we wander,
when shall we be freed from birth and death?
the Pure Land itself is not far.
Those who hear this truth even once
and listen with a grateful heart,
treasuring it, revering it,
gain blessings without end.
Much more, if you dedicate yourself
and confirm your own self-nature--
that self-nature is no nature--
you are far beyond mere argument.

Spiritual Poem
Hi Kristin, I picked up this poem because there was no response untill now for it.
What you express in your poem seems to be in the first place your belief. But does this makes your poem to a 'spiritual' poem because of this? Your statements for sure contain some truth, but where are you in this expression? Where are your personal aspect in it, where is your strugling to realize those beautiful images? Are you looking for confirmation for your beliefs?
What you offer here is a collection of religious concepts that are well known and repeated again and again. What doesn't make it more truthful. Where are you in this?
I went to your Web site and wonder: How does your aggressive business style goes together with your 'spiritual' concepts? There seems to be a discrepancy, no wonder, this kind of 'spirituality' is a cover and under it there remains the normal tough materialistic world view.
This is just normal and probably you don't want any comment about it, the above might be already too much. Can you dare to look at yourself?
