shadis computers has twice as much memory as chris's.
nicks computer has one and a half times the memory as shadi's.
between them alf's and shadi's computers have as much as lynne's plus twice the memory of chris's.
shadi, chris, nick, alf, and lynnes computers have 2800 megabytes of memory between them.
how much memory does each computer have?
can anyone help me please
@dermott8265,
You are given the following five equations
N = 3 (L + A)
S = 2C
N = 1.5 S
A + S = L + 2C
S + C + N + A + L = 2800
Substitute back and forth inside these equations and you will get A = L = 200, N = 1200, S = 800 and C = 400
From Engineer's eqns.
1)N = 3 (L + A)
2)S = 2C
3)N = 1.5 S
4)A + S = L + 2C
5)S + C + N + A + L = 2800
Substitutions
2 & 4) -- A=L
1) -- N=6A
3) -- S=4A
2) -- C=2A
5) -- 14A=2800
