An old Von Nostrand's 'Encyclopedia of Science' has a much better description on the synthesis of plastic and high explosives than the Anarcist's Cookbook.

I wouldn't bother. It's a total rip-off. I looked everywhere in that book and I couldn't find a recipe for anarchist anywhere! I was, however, able to whip up a utopian socialist á la Fourier in time for a church pot luck. It was OK.
