Generally there are Both kind of cycling shorts are available. It is depend on you that you should feel comfort while cycling. Generally men likes to wear tight shorts at the time of cycling which is best suited.

It depends on whether you are looking for a style or comfort. I would prefer to wear something that is comfortable for me while cycling. Style is subjective, you can create your own style!

I will advise you to wear normal shorts. I don't have more idea about this because my hobby is hunting and I used to wear Carhartt jackets and pants.
