Got to thinking about this re Morgan's thread about finding someone to scoop the poop.
Marco hadn't realized such businesses existed, JPB supplied him w/ a link to a dog pooper scooper business in his area.
Who knew?
I listened to an NPR story once about someone who rents out her herd of goats to clear land for home owners. She has her goats booked up well into the future.
Now these both happen to involve animals, but what other unusual, but needed and profitable business have you heard of?
"A Guy With A Truck"
Someone who had a hard time finding work and paying his bills asked himself what talents and tools he had. He could lift things and he had a truck. He started a delivery service and now has a three-five day waiting period. He's hired a couple assistants but hasn't expanded beyond his single truck.
In the Richard Jury series by Martha Grimes, Melrose Plant employs a "Hermit" on his estate.
@nextone,
Fred the Shred Guy.
Used to be "data security services" or somesuch, but people kept thinking he was in IT.

That's a good idea if he was to serve as caretaker!
No wild parties while the owner is away.
The weirdest I've heard about is people who jack bulls off for insemination purposes. Again, more animals..
‘Lawns for the Lord’ yes that is a real gardening business here in St. Pete. They have come knocking on our door several times, Morgan usually chases them away, he doesn’t want the Lord doing our lawn.
@Ceili,
I've heard of that one before!
@Ceili,
Not quite as icky, but there are also the collectors of doe urine.
