@panzade,
They got em at the Jersey Shore too?
"Happy as a seagull with a French fry" was coined in Ocean City Md to speak directly as a commercial for Thrashers.

I meant to write Maryland-Delaware shore as there is a place in Rehoboth Delaware.

The Food Channel's Drive-Ins, Diners and Dives can be amusing at times..Last night they featured the Roseland Cafe that had a Toronto chef cooking Poutine a la Canard ....in...wait for it...Arizona.
It looked delicious

• Yes, Canada actually celebrates "La Poutine Week" and, fittingly, both Mile End locations will celebrate it, too. Through Sunday, the Noho and Boerum Hill shops will each offer a daily changing poutine special. The menu: chilaquiles (Thursday), Thanksgiving (Friday), hot dog (Saturday), and General Tso's (Sunday). Tonight's special: mushroom and foie gras. [Grub Street]

@panzade,
I really know very little about poutine so I don't have any sentimental attachment about the stuff. I'm quite game for any of these experiments if they're cheap and easily available.

((I'll now wait the inevitable ensuing downpour of slinged rocks and flaming arrows))

@InfraBlue,
Got me to laugh.

I look at that experiment and I say barforama, mainly because of the egg - I'm near phobic re some eggs because, you know, they wiggle. I pretty sure but not positive I wouldn't like normal poutine either (brown gravy?). Maybe I'd like some southwestern take on it.

(mmm, I just made a quite spicy not quite new england clam chowder yesterday, probably should be quiet now re fusion foods)

@tsarstepan,
not sure about a miso-based gravy, but what the heck, the Ex opens today so that means two weeks of weird and wonderful food

If someone had this as a sampler, I'd try.

@margo,
had some left-over poutine on fries when we crossed back into Maine.
We were eating em so the Border Bunnies didn't even realize that we were smuggling Poutine.
