Just trying to find out if there are any "Hold 'em" players here in A2K.
Cute, Phoenix!
(Whenever I am asked, "Do you know..." -- I almost always use the "No, but if you hum a few bars, I'll try to fake it" line.)
But I guess I really ought to mention that Hold 'em is a form of poker -- for those who do not know.
Up and on line early today, ain't cha, Phoenix?
never played it frank, but, like a car wreck, every Sat on the Travel Channel, I have to watch the pros play.
the simplicity of the game hides the strategy and Im always amazed at how the pros figger it out.
I saw a piece in the paper about a pro poker player who plays with friends on weekends and he always loses because his frends dont know how to play the game well, he forgets that almost every hand they have is a bluff,
I heard that there are a lot of internet games. theres a hobby I dont think I need to add to my list . i think Ill go fishin
Frank - Occum Bill plays Texas Hold 'em
My old man does. I played a bit on his casino game on his laptop, but I haven't played it in a long time. Don't even really remember the rules.
Never heard if it until now. My game is spades.

Thanx. I'll be in touch with him.
I have never heard of this game, but always up for new things.
Who do I get to HOLD ?
Not into card games myself, although they can be something fun in social settings.
I basically suck at games. I taught my Dad chess many years ago and he beat me in the first game he'd ever played in his life! I just don't have the patience it takes to strategize in game playing so I make regrettable moves. Having said that, no I will not play for $$$'s. *L*

Forry, Gautam. It is a poker game. The only thing you get to hold are cards -- or when played on-line, a mouse.
By the way, G, Joe and I are meeting for dinner later this week -- probably Thursday -- if you wanna fly back over.

No limit Hold 'em probably bears as much resemblance to chess as it does to poker. It is a tremendously interesting game.
yes, i play frank as well as my roommate. We are big fans of the game and enjoy watching when the big guns are playing.

Sure. Provided we go to East of Eight and the same two guyz will be dining on the table diagonally oppoiste to ours
Frank, I am an avid Hold 'em player. As a matter of fact, that's the only game I play anymore, mostly at card clubs, but sometimes private games.
Why do you ask?
I play Hold 'em online now and then.
