How to learn Chinese for a beginner in Chinese learning with a professional mandarin teacher ?

I am learning Chinese Mandarin,but I find it difficult for me to learn it,even I have a private tutor to help me,can anybody give me some advice about how to learn Chinese,what should I do?

I suggest u could make some Chinese friends,and communicate with others frequently,to some degree it's very useful for u
