Hi, i need to interview a computer engineer hopefully a hardware engineer. This is for a school project and would really appreciate it.

Interview Questions:

1. Who or what influenced you to get into this career?
2.Which particular skills are required for your type of job?
3.Do you get the opportunity to work in various departments or areas of the business?If so what are they?
4.Are people required to be specialized or certified in order to do specific aspects of work in your company?Does the company provide opportunity for continued training?
5.As part of your job, are any of the following factors/components?
a.People b.tools or machines c. The indoors d. Numbers
e. reading and writing f. the outdoors g. computers h . travel or business
i. a lot of paper work j. heavy lifting k. working overtime
6.How have the technologies, equipment, products that are used in your company, changed over the last 10 years? describe a few examples.
7.What services or products have been added or deleted from your company?Why?
8.To prepare for your job, would i find it helpful to study:
a.keyboarding b.Science c.french d.Computers e. Geography f. business g.mathematics h.others?list them
9.What are the present educational requirements for your job?What did you do in order to get to this point in your career? What is the salary range for entry level positions in your field?

14. Has the hiring process changed as it relates to the number of male and females hired in your company?
15.Describe a typical work day?
16.How many hours do you normally work in a week? Is there paid or unpaid overtime work in your field and how often do you work if there is overtime? Does your workday impact your family life in a negative way?
17.Do employees have the oppurtunity to work:

Which do you prefer and why?
18.Has your company ever hired a coop student? Would you ever be interested in having coop students working with you to learn more about your field of work?
19. What are your immediate plans or goals?
20. What words of wisdom do you have to share with someone in my present position?

Interviews should be conducted in person for you to get the most benefit from your assignment. Merely getting yourself admitted to a company and getting an engineer's time should be informative. Good luck.
