90 marbles are divided between sham and ram.After distribution, Sham asked ram to give enough marble to him so that he got double than ram. After that, he found that ram is left with marbles which is double the initial marbles sham had. Find how many marbles ram gave to sham.

@sandy111,
I'm not sure why it's tricky... They end up at 60/30, so one gave 15 marbles to the other.

@sandy111,
Ah. You changed the wording in the middle from "double" to "double the initial."

Not a tricky puzzle, just a deliberate attempt to mislead the reader.

Carry on.

@sandy111,
I think the problem might be writing the right way. Your problem is not easy to understand because the words used are not ones a normal English speaker would use or understand.

No, it's not "dear".

Does Sham have double the marbles of Ram after they exchange marbles? If so then the final distribution is 60/30. But since it's unclear whether we are talking about double before or after the exchange, they could both have 45 marbles after the first distribution. Sham asks to have double the 45 that Ram has, so the final distribution is 90/0. The math is different depending on which time frame we are using for comparison. Your English is not written clearly "dear" because you use past tense so it is impossible to tell which time frame you are talking about.

@parados,
Just to clarify the difference in math

If Sham has Y marbles and Ram z marbles after the initial exchange and b is the the number of marbles exchanged and X is the number of marbles Sham has after they exchange -

Y +b = X
Z -b = .5X

Or

Y + b = X
Z - b = .5Y

@parados,
x= No. of marbles sham having after distribution (fst sentence)
y= marbles distributed to ram (fst sentence)
n= marbles ram gave to sham
since sham gave n marbles to ram, thus n is added to x and also n is deducted from y (ram) bcos ram gave it. so equation becomes.
(x+n) = 2 (y-n)
X+y =90. (total)
y-n = 2x ( at the end , sham found ram is having double the marbles of what sham inital had i.e.x)

thus, n =3x.
also x+3n = 2y
or 10x = 2y
y=5x

6x =90
X =15

N= 45 (answer).
justified...pls reply

@sandy111,
In audience poll out of 100 people, 40 poll for answer as A choice in which 30 poll thinking A is wrong choice. 20 poll for B choice, in which 8 poll thinking B is wrong. 30 poll for choice C , in which 15 thinking C is wrong. 10 poll for choice D, in which 3 thinking D is wrong. If contestant came to know this, then based on correct high percentage, which choice is correct

That is pretty much incomprensible as writtten.
"40 poll for answer A choice" - does that mean 40 people answer about choice A positive or negative? Or does it mean 40 people answer as being in the affirmative for A? Or does "40 poll" mean 40%?

@laughoutlood,
A shopkeeper A sells 2 balloons to a buyer and some number of balloons to shopkeeper B. Again another buyer comes and shopkeeper A sells 2 balloons to him and some number to shopkeeper B. Every time whenever new buyer comes, same number of balloons are given to B. At the end, A has no balloons and B has total of 100. What is the maximum number of buyers who purchased balloon from A. ..................try to crack this one.

@sandy111,
Assuming balloons are sold as whole units, since B has 100 balloons, the number of buyers is maximized when one balloon is transferred to B per transaction. Therefore, the maximum number of buyers is 100.
