How can I become a consumer electronics electrician?

Hey guys,

So I have been interested in the concept of assembling certifying consumer electronics, but whenever I try to do research all I find is electrician in general .

Please help?

@Jon Franklin,
Most consumer electronics is not assemble in the US any longer.

Some things like medical devices are still assemble in the US at least for now.

Now are you looking to be an assembler or a test technician?

An assembler is not a well paying job and even a test technician is not paid highly.

@Jon Franklin,
Working with electronics uses many of the same skills/knowledge required by electricians.

Often community colleges will offer courses in electronics and electricity. They might also be able to answer your questions about what you need to get a job in the field.
