I tried to learn the identity of the owner of a particular website through use of godaddy.com 's Domain Search. However, I only found the website address of the site's registrar. Is it possible to get more information?

No. most likely not much info is public on the owner unless your subscribe to a service that's avaialble to headhunters.
However you could do some research on company particulars using Hoovers (free trial) you might.

godaddy.com is the premier web site to hosting and register of any domain.. I have already two register domain at that site..
