Why dose fat go to certain places of the body on some people? Why is it some people have only big: buts, hips, are tummys?
I was just going to give an answer but then I realized that I don't actually know...
It goes where your fat storage cells are concentrated, which is determined genetically. My guess as to why is that fat is stored where it is least in the way and keeps the center of gravity low.
No no... fat would be on our legs for low center of gravity. The butt, hips, and waist are all in the middle while the bust is up high (in case you didn't know). It probably has something to do with insulation, quick storage and retrieval, and maintaining flexibility.
You can't load the legs up with fat because it slows you down when running. The waist area is the least restrictive place. Too much fat stored in breasts makes them flop painfully when you run, and bras weren't available for most of human history. Insulating fat needs to be distributed over the entire surface area, not concentrated, but location makes no real difference when burning fat.
Yet much fat is stored in the chest and abdomen on both men and women.
There must be some good reason...
