I've tried to get in touch with the guy who owns the place right know, and he keeps stalling; "I'll call you back". Which he never does, so I think he got a better offer, and hasn't got the guts to tell us...

Yes, Misti, I am inclined to think that, too. Actually, last Thursday night we were out and met a friend and started to talk about this topic. He had a very good idea where to start what kind of place in a town about ten minutes away. He will look into that...
