Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin says North Korea might commit provocations the birthday of late North Korean founder Kim Il-sung on April 15th.
The minister made the remarks while visiting the First Army Command and the Navy’s First Fleet.
He said North Korea might launch provocations to strengthen internal unity, as it has been experiencing rampant corruption and a power vacuum since the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.
Defense Minister Kim added that North Korean provocations would follow its founder's birthday since the North will be busy preparing commemorative events and have no time to pay attention to South Korea.
