NanoTech

Nano is the ancient latin word for very freakin' small. Thus, Nanotech would be technology that is very small.

All kidding aside, what it refers to is using cell sized or smaller machines to do various things. Computer chips, micro surgery, basically anything that needs to be very tiny. Often times, nano-bots are about the size of a virus.

As I understand it, it's mostly theoretical work right now. However with the strides being made in making things smaller and smaller, it won't be much longer until it's widely used.
