Those are BLACK SLANG terms I am asking questions about and no one is answering.

ARE OTHER BLACKS GOING TO BE OFFENDED BY THESE TERMS?

Other blacks might well be wondering where you are digging these terms up from, and why you have to search for terms that do not reflect the way people actually talk today.

And, when one of the terms you come up with is "coon", they likely think you are an idiot for even asking the question.

Christians around here don't want to identify with you, so why would any black people want to acknowledge you either?

@firefly,
"Cuffy" and "Cooly" are terms I found on Urbandictionary.

"Mandingo" is still in use.

@firefly,
That is a RACIST statement- Hingehead and Shewolf are the only two black posters here I know of who have responded to me.

I am TRYING TO GET OTHER BLACKS' ATTENTION.

I think there is another black member here- Redrob.

You've never heard of people who hate or mock their own ethnic, racial, religious group? And some of the biggest public homophobes are secretly gay.

If the shoe fits, Jason..

@firefly,
I am not mocking anyone.

What makes you think I want stupid ignorant, white folks helping me with this?

White folks who don't know anything about black jargon?

Neither do you, if you have to search for terms on urban dictionary.

You don't exactly project a positive image, Jason.

@firefly,
You are a moron- having a NON-"Black" character named "Coon" in itself isn't offensive.

Coon is an abridged term for raccoon.

Urbandictionary is NOT the only slang dictionary out there. I use other ones.

Then why title a thread, Help with black slang? Rolling Eyes

Do you want help or don't you?

There are white people here who associate with blacks, Jason, and they are more in tune with them than you apparently are.

You cannot segregate threads here by race, Jason. Segregation of that sort is racist. So is your insult of white people, simply because they are white.

You are quite the little racist, Jason, and a bitchy little racist to boot.

@firefly,
STUPID QUESTION- YES I WANT HELP.

I am asking SPECIFIC questions about BLACK JARGON, terms that I don't see something wrong with- I am asking if other black people would be offended by them. Why is no one answering them?

Is anyone here a linguistics expert?

You think ONE CRAZY-ACTING BLACK WOMAN reflects the ENTIRE GROUP OF BLACK POSTERS HERE ON A2k? YOU are GENERALIZING AND BEING RACIST.

@firefly,
What the HELL is WRONG with you?

I tag a thread "African-American" or "black" - you equate that with being racist?

I tagged another thread as "Asian" and no one is bothering that.

What the HELL IS WRONG IF A BLACK PERSON WANTS TO DISCUSS BLACK CULTURE?

SLANG IS HUGE PART OF BLACK ENGLISH.

WHY WOULD A BLACK PERSON GO TO A WHITE ONE FOR HAIR ADVICE?

How am I insulting white people here for being white?
