If you're like 75 percent of Americans, you like to doodle

On occasion, I do doodle. During long meetings at work. While waiting on the phone. Etc....

Oh my goodness I love doodling.

I'm a big list-maker (actual paper lists, nothing else seems to work as well), and I frequently doodle on them (while thinking of the next item for example*).

The other day I was drawing with my daughter (she was drawing, I was doodling), and got into a really intense doodle. Very meditative and relaxing. (It was a sort of William-Morris-ish curlicue dealie.)
