Kindle replacement

My first Kindle suffered damage in transit and is now ,I'm told, beyond repair. My local sales person told me that if I brought a new Kindle data from the old would be transferrable within my microsoft enviroment. He may be right but sofar it remains a mystery to me.Can anyone help.

I don't see anything specifically addressing your question on their Kindle Support pages. Post your question in the customer service forum and see if they can help.
