I need to add variation to a smooth function in the form of noise, but without random number generation. It only has to appear random, but does not have to be random, just rough.

One of my students merely downloaded the Delaware and New Jersey lottery results onto his spread sheet and grapheed the function with an{(n)+lottery sequence for each}. Since the randomness is based upon a 60 number spread, the function was for a rock mechanics problem
