Help Me With My Homework....Why is carbon-14 suitable for dating fossils about 2 million years ago?
Carbon-14 isn't suitable for dating fossils. Fossils are made of stone, and carbon-14 requires organic material... Go type carbon-14 into the search field at Google. The first thing that came up for me was a page from Howstuffworks that gave a good, easily understandable explanation.
You People are positive about this...i need a good grade
Thanks For The Help And I Have Another Question....Concept Mapping: Make a concept map listing the following possible steps on the preocess of making a cast of a fossil: roganism dies, burial, protection from scavengers and bacteria, replacement by minerals, fossil erodes away, mineral crystals form from solution? Draw 6 boxes and 5 arrows (one arrow between and touching each box.)
how 'bout that. I had never heard of "Concept Mapping" before. Thanks to Quinn's referral I was able to understand the notion (and solve Pimpster's homework problem). Hopefully he/she can settle down and do it, too. Is this idea recent?
Pimpster, quinn's link gives a good explanation of how to do this. What more can text answers do for you? We can't draw the thing for ya!
Pimpster,
The purpose of your assignments is to help you learn how to do basic research and study. How will you ever learn anything if others relieve you of the work that is absolutely required. The general policy of most of us here is not to do student's work for them. You will find plenty of hints and guideposts to help you along, but you have to be responsible for your own education. Your education will be what you make of it.
Success in life, no matter how you define it, is almost always proportionate to a person's education. With knowledge, and the skill to define and solve problems, we more often achieve the desired result. If you never develope a knowledge base and skills, your prospects are dim. Don't do that to yourself. Rich is better than poor, and the better your education the higher your income is likely to be. Education expands our horizons and opens a thousand "secret" gates to pleasure. Great music, art, and thousands of years of thought go unappreciated by those whose education stopped around age six. One of the most human of traits is the eternal question, "why"? Education is the key to answering many of those questions, and that gives the educated person real power.
Acquistion of a good education requires real work. It isn't just found within the walls of a schoolhouse, but is all around us all of the time. Teacher's aren't responsible for your education, you are. Like everything else, education takes patience and hard work. Those who take the "easy" way, usually find that they pay a heavy price for that. Every experience you have contributes, or detracts from, your education. It's never finished. I'm nearly 63, and my education is still only a trifle. I envy your opportunities to gather knowledge and skills. Don't waste those opportunities. Take your future into your own hands now, and you will never regret it later.
BTW, surely you don't admire pimps! Why would anyone want to be a parasite living off of the degradation of a prostitute?
