I use it in green smoothies and also get it for my mom when she is dehydrated and low on electrolytes. Lots of good minerals in coconut water.

Coconut water is the best for the body to hydrate it but, organic of course. All this flavored coconut water are not going to have even the 10% of the properties a natural coconut water would have since they are so processed and lost all their main nutrients and vitamins.

In my opinion, I would not buy it but, check on the bottle the amount of sugar it has, if is high then there is your answer.

Why is it a strange question? There are alot of fads that come and go - some making false claims that a particular item is the new great healthy save your life thing; when there is little or no benefit at best or at worst actually harmful for you.

Seeing coconut water popping up everywhere in various forms - it was a simple question whether there is truly a health benefit, fad, or making something that just tastes good.

Coconut water not only tastes good but it has a lot of really good benefits to drinking it. It is good source of nutrients, is a really good source of natural hydration, and also helps you lower blood pressure. It comes in many flavors at the supermarket, but I typically stick to the original flavor.
