What is up with YouTube videos and "Uploading Errors"? Please help

Is it possible for people to upload movie trailers on YouTube with "uploading errors”and would they mind if I asked them to reload their movie trailers again?

I notice sometimes people upload videos to YouTube and here are marks on the videos they upload. I was told those could be "uploading errors"- and that happens because that has something to do with the strength of one's connection. I was trying to upload some movie trailers on my own but I had issues with QuickTime on my computer. Some people uploaded movie trailers on Youtube and I watched and noticed there are big white marks on some of them- I think those are "uploading errors." Would these people mind if I asked to them to re-upload these old movie trailers they uploaded, and should I mention that I tried to upload them on my computer and couldn't, or should I just tell them about the marks on the their videos and ask them to re-upload them?

Is it possible for them to upload the same or similar video and have the same or similiar "uploading errors" on them? I watched all four copies of the same video on YouTube. I was searching for something on Youtube- I found the same copy of a video on YouTube. I have seen more that one copy of a video uploaded on YouTube that had same or similar "uploading errors" on them. 3 or 4 people had uploaded the same video. I noticed these videos all had the same or similar "uploading errors" - marks on them. I think that could be some kind of glitch that occurred when they uploaded copies of the same video. I want to ask them if they can please re-upload them. I was told by a YouTube expert that uploading errors can happen- marks show up on videos because of a bad or faulty internet connection and it has something to do with Internet speed. Please help.

Yes, but those marks are still on the videos. They show up when I play and re-play them.

Leave a comment on the video page and tell them about the errors. Add a request to re-upload the video in your comment.

You mean PM them about it correct? Or do you mean go to their profile page and post a message there? I am not sure what you mean by video page.

I was trying to tell one person about a video via Pm and posted a link to their video and told them about the errors on the video.

I mean the page where you found the youtube video. There is a comments section under every youtube video.

Leave your comments, suggestions and requests there.

Why can't I just PM them about it? Many times I tried posting to people about their videos and they never responded.

That was what I did with one person- I PMed one person about their video. I want to get back to him about his DVD upload he made.

PMing them and going into detail about what is wrong with videos in the PM - that is, indicating specifically where the videos are messed up, I have found, will work and is therefore the best thing to do.

I was told I could do both - PM them and post a comment about it on their video pages but make sure to ask people to thumb it up so the authors of the videos will see it

I am talking about PMING PEOPLE ON THERE - THAT WORKS FOR ME.

Why are you asking folks on A2K how to go about communicating with folks on Youtube if you've already done it and made up your mind about what method works best for you?

I was curious about this. I wanted to know what people here had to say about it. Has leaving a message on people's video pages directed at the authors of those videos worked for you? Most of the time when I tried doing that that didn't work for me.
