@Gampawil1,
A bunch of us are no spring chickens. I had trouble using imageshack myself when I first tried, and I haven't been back.
I didn't have trouble with Photobucket.com.
Anyway, someone who knows the ins and outs of Imageshack will be along to help you show it here.

@Gampawil1,
OK, on Imageshack, go to "My Images."

Select the thumbnail for the image you want to post here.

To the right there will be a list under the word "ACTIONS".

Choose "Get Code for Forums."

If you just copy and paste the code you see there, we can help you.

As long as u never agree with me, J,
I will be content
. Your agreement 'd be a humiliation.

david and you others really need to take your dumb stuff elsewhere. Your points have been made and the thread is trying to move past you. Respect? Do you guys know the meaning? Or do you just sit in front of mirrors expecting to look like lions? Come on , jeezzee..

@Gampawil1,

The fossil appears to be some kind of huge bug. The stone weighs about 100 lbs. The creature has eight legs and each leg is about 2" in dia. The creature itself measures 2' x 2.5 ' . This is folded a bit the way it is in the stone. I'd like to send a pic but I don't know how.

8 legs would typically indicate spider. But 2" dia legs are too large for any known land spiders. So I would guess you're looking at some type of ocean based arthropod.

Also, what town in NY was it found in. The age of the geology in that area will help identify the timeframe the creature existed in.
