What would you get?

Believe it or not, many (civilized) people don't drink to get drunk. This is particularly true of many wine-drinkers who drink it for the taste. Many beer drinkers drink a few to get a buzz, but not get drunk.

Oh! Isn't drunk and buzzed the same?

To me, buzzed just sounds a bit more genteel.

That is very true. I like meeting my friends for happy hour because we have a good time together but my limit is two, Most of my friends don’t know when to stop, even on the weekends if we go out, they will drink the entire night until they have to take a cab home. That doesn’t sound like a good time to me but at least they take a cab.

Oh, so you dont like to be drunk? What does it feel like? Like, I know you feel dizzy and sick later but what does it feel like while you're drunk?

When I first got married my wife never knew that I used to drink, but then one day I came home sober.

I think this is why over the years...err ... ahh... decades, I limited it to 2 drinks(even at home)...beer or wine or one mixed drink. I stay away from sweet drinks because they fake your brain into thinking there's no alcohol involved. And then you when you go to stand up, ... well..your legs are like lead. And since I've moved to FL, I'm leary of the police who see drunk drivers all the time and often have the displeasing task of peeling them off the pretty palm trees and scenery.

Hi Gracie. I don’t like the feeling of being drunk, it’s kind of like not being in control and some people, like friends I know do and say stupid things when they’re drunk, things you wouldn’t normally do sober. Of course after two cocktails I will get a slight buzz but I space them out and that is my limit.

Oh! I always thought it was fun. Alot of my friends are older and they drink and stuff at parties. They seem to like it. I've always wondered what it was like. Sounds like its not as fun as I thought though.
