In a recent New England Journal of Medicine article, a Colorado Medical Clinic is described which uses a group approach to the care of patients ( 40-50% of who are uninsured or insured through medicaid ) seeking medical treatment presumably for a common set of symptoms. This is one of several methods this clinic is using in an attempt to reduce cost and to conserve physician clinic time.
Would you as either a medicaid, medicare or private paying patient be willing to be treated in this manner?
