Just to let you know there's an ongoing internet poll which in its first stage arrived at 100 Welsh Heroes, and which now is in the next stage where you can vote (once a week before the deadline in mid/late February) for a single individual. Some block voting for a few popstars/bands seems to have thrown up surprises in the top 10 so far. You may find it interesting to check out the profiles of each before voting. The more participants the better!

Some to consider currently outside the top 10; Roald Dahl, Dylan Thomas,
Jimmy Wilde (great boxer), Alfred Russel Wallace (evolution pioneer), Robert Owen, Henry VII, T.E.Lawrence, Bertrand Russell, Anthony Hopkins, Richard Burton, Catherine Zeta Jones, Gwen John, Morgan the Pirate... anyway, see for yourselves.

Poll at: Culturenet Cymru website.

The person who came into my mind before I opened this page was Dylan Thomas, even though one could say that he is a strange hero to have
