@MontereyJack,
they don't advertise much, but if there are live shows going on, the stuff is coming from somewheres...

(they will also rent sound and lights)

Hmm, I'm kinda surprised I just checked Home Depot and they do have it. Of course it costs about five times as much as duct tape (which is NOT "ducktape". What kind of sick person would want to tape a duck?)(I first found out about it thru TV production work, not theatrics)(movie making is big on it too).

Um, not sure about that one--I think somebody fed you a ringer, Dutchy. There are no mountains at the North Pole, it's located on a floating ice cap (the ice may move, but the pole stays at the same place), and the actual land surface is below the ice and the sea beneath it). There aren't any mountains there--it's totally just ice. Which is why, in a couple decades, when global warming finally melts all the polar ice in summer, Santa's workshops are going to sink without a trace and Christmas will be all over for a billion or so girls and boys. So that pic is quite a bit more scenic than the Pole, but I don't think it's actually there.

O is for Ozone Hole
  http://www.ucsusa.org/assets/images/gw/ozone_hole_NASA.jpg

Ozone in the stratosphere concentrates at the poles. The ozone layer protects us from a lot of harmful UV solar radiation. Human-produced chemicals released into the atmosphere have degraded the ozone over Antarctica, prioducing an ozone hole. Global warming can decrease stratospheric temperature, which will likely lead to degradation of the Arctic ozone layer too. The increased UV radiation could lead to Santa dieing of skin cancer even before his North Pole workshops sink because of global warming (see N is for North Pole above). Isn't the alphabet informative?

(That one goes out as a subtle hint to all the Ozian solvers of "Lovatt'ss Super-Colossal Stinker" puzzles who congregate here with the clue "famous hunt" and the letters -U-R- and can't figure out what the answer is. Dutchy, of course, knew).
