How many out there have went to the obituary column in the paper and said I wonder who's died and not told me. Strange saying one I have heard loads of times. Is it a morbid curiosity That people turn to that page first before reading anything else.?Is this the most popular page even before the sports page?
I always wondered why people want to stare into pictures of dead people. Perhaps it's that pesky death instinct telling us something. Maybe we love to feel like we're at the top, in good shape, and going to live well past all of those people in the obituaries. Either way, it's freaky to have a bunch people staring back at you, and every single one is dead.
I never look at the obits.
