I'm thinking about buying some cans of crab meat. I know that metal cans can't be placed in microwave ovens. But can the crab itself be microwaved?

@randyjohnson,
sure , it can be microwaved , but i doubt that it will have any taste left after microvaving it .
would it not taste best in a crab-salad or in a nice hot cream sauce ?

@hamburgboy,
I used the canned crabmeat to make crab ragoons - yummy little suckers they are.

@randyjohnson,
If you wanna really **** up your crabmeat , why not just boil it? DONT ever nuke crabmenat or any shellfish, all it does is make a grey ultrahot tasteless crap.

Use a broiler if you want the best in flavor and a hint of carameling. Fry it only iof its in a crabcake or a pierogi.
