If a natural number from 1 to 10 is chosen at random and 10 is subtracted from that number how likely is it that the resulting number is negative?
@solipsister,
Very likely I'd say.
between 1 and 10 or inclusive of 1 and 10
@solipsister,
In that case, the odds are one in ten.
The odds of not producing a negative number are one in ten. I figured that was obvious, but i wouldn't want to presume on your understanding. All things considered, this is about the most vacuous math question i've ever seen.
I'm thinking of an odd number between 1 and 5.
Rap
@solipsister,
You could get 10 and subtract 10 you would get 0 which is not a negative number.
Probablity of negative numers = 9/10 = 0.9

That would explain you coming up empty on the answer.
@solipsister,
Are your little panties twisted in a knot?
Tune in next week to see Nadia Comeneci judge a middle-school cartwheel competition.
(I really don't get this thread...)

Not nearly as much as a big girl's blouse that's misconstrued.
