@taz1888,
Hello,
We can work wirh percents either absolute values:
Percents
-----------
If Hassan scores 40 let say correct answers
put of 80 possible answers, his mark in percents is:
(40/80)*100=50%
We can compare this mark tok Kate's one and see that his
mark is higher than her.

Absolutre values
We start with Kate. If she scores 40% from 80
her absolute correct answes is 32. We can compare
this absolute value to Hassan's one.
Since 32<40 , his score is higher
I'll be happy to answer if rhere are questions

@taz1888,
This problem involves fractions. If Hassan scores 40 out of 80 the fraction is 40/80. The fraction then needs to be turned into a percentage. That is done by dividing 40 by 80, which is 50%. Therefore, Hassan scored higher than Kate.
