What are the best free webfilters for download?

Unfortunately, if you do a Google image search or an image search on similiar search engines, and have the settings set to Strict, some pornographic images "slip under the radar." I don't want to see anything pornographic. I hate porn. I am a Christian and I take the Word of God seriously.

I tried Netnanny for a while- and it worked fine, but the free trial expired.

What other web filters should I download that are free?

Please help me out.

Unfornately, cartoon porn from sites like Deviantart.com can "slip by the radar" because Google and some other search engines don't recognize it as porn.

If you hate it, what not just stop clicking the links? There are lots of things I hate that pop up. I just ignore them.

Or maybe the real problem is that you don't hate porn.

I have been using computers since 1999. The first week that I had my computer, I clicked on a link, and, to my dismay, I got a porn site. I clicked it off immediately.

Now, my computer is set to "medium", and I am always looking for images. From that first week on, I have never clicked on a porn site. It is just a matter of being aware of what you are clicking!!!

When I use Google to do image searches I have it set to "strict." Even with this setting some pornographic art pictures "slip by the radar", because Google sometimes does not recognize these pictures as porn.

What are some good web filters I can download that are FREE?

I used Netnanny for free for a while and it worked, but it was only temporary.

Maybe you should change your google settings. Just go to the settings and click safesearch its right above strict.

I have tried that-even with Safesearch locked on Google you can STILL get porn images.

Well, apparently what you consider porn is different then what most other people would consider porn. For example, this is a very sweet wedding picture.

Still and moving images, usually of women, in varying states of nudity, posing or performing erotic acts with men, women, animals, machines, or other props. Some say it degrades women, some say it corrupts young boys (who down-load it from the World-Wide Web or exchange it on floppy disks). Most of it is in the form of JPEG images. Many web sites offer porn of all sorts, almost always for a subscription. It is said that these are a driving force in the evolution of new technology and techniques for the web. Advertisments for them certainly constitute a significant proportion of all spam. There are even pornographic computer games, an early example being Mac Playmate.
Beware - many institutions, particularly universities, have strict rules against their computers and networks being used to transfer or store such things, and you might get corrupted.
