my owl clock does everything but keep time. if we move the hands manually it sounds off. I put all new batteries in but still no movement of time.

A bit more description of the clock would be helpful. What type of clock is it? Is it a wall clock or table clock? Does it use a pendulum? What type of time keeping mechanism does it use? Have you checked the hands to see if they've been bent out of shape?
