I can easily insert the stick into the tv and screen displays pictures icons on the stick. Also shows titles like slide show, options, select folder. but when I select anything and press ok on my remore- nothing happens. What showul I do?

Have you checked the manuals for both the memory stick and the TV?
In the meantime, check out this support site at Sony for troubleshooting memory stick issues.

If you don't have manuals, that same link above has an option to obtain them via download. I can't be any more specific than that since you didn't give any model numbers or descriptions.
