Chewing gum is useful to tack up a note... for a little while.

@George,
I like that idea. I just saw a still from something that was supposed to be a prequel to Sparticus. Guy was holding a monsterous long sword. What's up with that? I thought a gladiator were supposed to be waving around a gladious, or something like that. All I can say about that toad sticker is that it was a bit short for a Claymore.

@Rockhead,
Sounds like an extreme challenge for the metallurgy of the day. Not to mention, something of an anachronism.

@George,
I'm not a sword guy, really.

(I'm always afraid of cutting my foot off)

I did drag the archery target out the other day, just for giggles.

@George,
Not too far off, but what I have is longer in proportion, and distinctly pointed. There's a brief review of "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" on D2 of Friday's (1-21-2011) WSJ. Does it look at all plausible?
