Do normal people think: "I never hug my beloved one, he/she is the one who must start to hug first, even if I feel like to hug"

My first wife's father was a Jewish Psychoanalyst from New York... Before meeting those folks we never hugged, and after we always hugged... We did not think we were abbeynormal before or after... We just found a better way of saying we care...
