Does anybody know a website where you can download scientific journals? All of the sites that I know of require a membership or that you pay per article.

Not off hand, and i be surprised if you found one at which you didn't have to pay. However, type "free scientific journals" into a search engine and see what you come up with. As well, if there are specific topics you want, it might be possible to find complete articles quoted at sites somewhere.

Is there a particular subject, or are there particular subjects, which interest you?

In the portal there are several such sites. Look under the education and reference category or search for "open access journals".

Here are some: http://search.able2know.com/Education___Reference/Reference/index.html
