You have to appreciate the avant garde to appreciate Beefheart.

This doesn't mean that if you do appreciate the avant garde you will appreciate Beefheart, just that if the avant garde makes you uncomfortable (as it does for many educated, intelligent people with good taste), don't bother downloading Captain Beefheart.
