SUCCESS!
I can scarcely believe it was that easy. I went to this web site
http://www.spydig.com/spyware-info/Adware-Whazit.html
Last night I downloaded their free program and let them analyze my computer. The analysis shows dozens of questionable files. So I clicked a box that permitted them to analyse these files. When I awakened, the box said they were still analyzing. I left it alone, until just a bit ago. Well, it appeared nothing had changed with the analysis. Frustrated, I shut the program down. But, and SHAZAAM! - the computer is back to perfect operating condition. I'm a genius!
